Finally, a chance in which to show you the things I can do with magnificent tria marker pens. Hmm, heheh not much. But I can tell you that its been great to draw Crash again. And that I believe this is probably my first ever attempt in drawing Cortex, and a completely made up robot, *sigh* that doesn't look so menacing.
The concept of this picture was inspired by the recent pictures I viewed on the upcoming game 'Twinsanity' where Crash and Cortex have to 'pair up' to save the world, and which no doubt everyone's already heard and read about.
I just had this funny thought of Crash being cornered by a tech bot and assuming Cortex would come to help.
Crash: Uh, doc. You think you could help out a second?
Cortex: Oh yes, be there just a moment bandicoot.
(quickly turns around and fiddles with a remote which actually controls the robot.)
I thought such a scene could be apparent between these two. Oh the possibilities of Crash being pummeled Cortex would think. I was gonna add the text, but thought better to leave it. Heheh if anyone can think of a better line between these two I'd love to hear it.
This picture also goes to show that I still need some tria marker tutoring. I can't say I did a good job colouring the floor and shading the character (and bot's) shadows using a grey marker instead of blue. Hmm. Still its nice to just go old fashioned with marker pens and pencils and such. I know how hard it is to get back into traditional art after relying so much on a comp now.
This pic was also helped by a screenshot of the game. Yep.

Heheh well thanks all the same GothicAngel. Your pens wouldn't happen to cost a lot to you would they? Tria markers can be expensive, but they work well.
Alas, you're not alone. I think it's just freaking lucky of me to have found one batch of the markers I got from a small post office like store. I could hardly believe my luck.
Is it just me, or do people charge artists too much? Some of us are students. Oh well.
